Richard Armitage's Move Magazine Interview

Thanks to kellyduck on Twitter for providing the link to Richard Armitage's interview with New York Moves magazine.

The interview takes place in October a few days after the American government shutdown and Richard is asked for his opinion about that and other subjects along the same line, such as violence in movies and other forms of entertainment. He did try to interject some of the work that he has done like 'Strike Back' and the fact that it would be on Cinemax and some words about the appearance of the weapons in The Hobbit.

Now that was the center of the conversation. The beginning was saying how nice New Yorkers really are and in a way like Parisians because neither people are afraid to debate one another, unlike in England.

Then there is talk of characters with grey morals whether it be Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood or Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit . Richard even says that he has never played a psychotic mass-murder but that he would try and find some kind of empathy and explanation as to why the character is the way it is, just like he has done with previous ones. Euron Greyjoy, perhaps? Hmmm?

Enough quasi-intelligence from me. Eye candy time. One new photo of Richard was added and this one I absolutely adore. Playing peek-a-boo through his fingers.  To me he has the look of "Are you kidding me?" It is great.

And this one also from NYM. The more I look at it the more I see Patrick Dempsey

Apparently bartenders are also in need for a cocktail mixing contest. To be more precise a "Make a Thorin cocktail" Richard says he will judge. Uh-huh. Wonder if he would swallow the drinks or swish them around for the flavor and then spit out the drink?

The interview is very illuminating--not only because there is no circus question, but we actually get to hear what RA thinks about life and society (in terms of politics).

And as to Thorin cocktails? How about a "Roarin Thorin"? Similar to a Long Island Iced Tea--Rum, tequila, gin, and vodka--but with pine apple juice for extra kick. Ha!
