Richard Armitage's 'Hannibal' Response

Richard has at last said something about 'Hannibal'. I don't understand it which leads me to think it is from either the novel Red Dragon or from the 'Hannibal' script. But at at least we have finally heard something from Richard on the subject.

In my head I keep hearing "You see me now" as sounding like the cell phone commercial who famous line was "Can you here me now?". I think it was Sprint but don't hold me to it. Anyway, no matter how much I try to make Richard's quote sound different I can only here the commercial.

As for the "Do you feel me now? " quote.... does not always take much of an imagination where Richard is concerned . Think Paul Andrews from ' In Between the Sheets'

Richard Armittage - Hannibal

Richard is silent ass a lamb on Twitter about him being named as Francis Dolarhyde on the American television  show 'Hannibal'. It took some time for me to find out after reading Lady0akenshield's tweet about Twitter being in a meltdown with the news about Richard Armitage. I did not think to ask her what the heck she was talking about but that is when I went to Richard's Twitter page and nothing. Zilch. Nada. He is still being silent about the news.

So I put it out of my mind and continued to look around a bit on Twitter. Little later I went over to Facebook and was doing my thing there when I saw Servetus post congratulating Richard on being cast in 'Hannibal'. I thought that maybe that another movie was being made of 'Hannibal' so I went to Servetus' blog me + richard armitage and found out that it IS the television series 'Hannibal. I read her post and found myself agreeing with her about this kind of show not being something I usually watch but I may be willing to give it a try for the six episodes that Richard is going to be in.

I then went back to Twitter and looked up and found the 'Hannibal' Twitter page. There is the announcement of Richard Armitage being named to play Francis Dolarhyde. This led me to wonder who is Francis Dolarhyde. I searched the internet and found how vile, that is an understatement, he is. He is also known as the "Tooth Fairy" for his penchant for biting his victims, usually an entire family, while wearing custom made dentures after he kills them, especially the mother. After having gleaming over this character on Wikipedia I have come to the conclusion that, even though I may take the occasional peek, there is a high chance that I will not be watching 'Hannibal'.

Don't get me wrong I am happy for Richard getting this part because it will give him better exposure to an audience that is either unfamiliar with his previous work or only know him as Thorin Oakenshield from 'The Hobbit' franchise. This is also an immense stretching of his acting wings. I may not be thrilled with the character but I am proud of Richard Armitage for jumping off the edge and taking on such a diabolical character.

So congratulations to Richard Armitage on getting a different and demanding role.
