That Guy - Guy of Gisborne

Thanks to Sinjoor for putting the link up to wattapad that has the lyrics to Tori Amos' song 'That Guy', a very apt song for our Guy of Gisborne. Not only do we get the lyrics but also a youtube video of Guy and Marian. Now close to the beginning Guy and Marion are in a modern day casino and I swear at around the 23 second mark, he tells her "F- You". I could be mistaken and just have a case of wishful thinking because lord knows that girl deserved it.

Here is the video to 'That Guy' and see if any of you are better lip reading skills than me.

'The Hobbit' is #1 at the Box Office

For the third weekend in a row 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' came in first at the domestic box office by earning $32.9 million holding off the Quentin Tarantino latest movie 'Django Unchained', which earned a not too shabby $30.7 million and 'Les Mis' rounding out the top 3 by earning $28 million.

'The Hobbit' has been doing well over the past week and $300 million seems like it could be in play again. Through the 17 days, the first three 'Lord of the Ring' prequel movies earned $222.7 million, which is in between 'Fellowship of the Ring', which made $189.3 million and 'The Two Towers' which made $243.6 million.

On the overseas front, 'The Hobbit' raked in another $106.5 million this weekend from 16,600 screens in 62 territories giving the Middle-earth epic an overseas total of $464 million  and an overall worldwide gross of $686 million.

Early Tuchus Tuesday Christmas

I'm going to be in so much trouble with G_d over these but hopefully He'll understand that they are Christmas and late Hanukkah presents for the Richard Armitage fans that read this blog. I also hope I don't offend anyone with these either.

The reason why I did these two from 'Between the Sheets' is well, they kind of go together and I just thought y'all would kind of like a two for one  for a Christmas.

And I am soooo definitely going on Santa's naughty list over these two. Or would that be four?

A very Richard Christmas

Hoping everyone has a good Christmas and that you don't get so distracted by your thoughts of Richard Armitage that you burn dinner and you give your pet Harry's sweater or jumper

But just in case you don't burn dinner and give your pet Harry's sweater or jumper, here are a couple of videos, courtesy of fedoralady. She always does great videos of Richard.

The first one is 'Santa Guy is Back'. If Guy were to come down my chimney, he would not be leaving.

This one is set to Trans-Siberian Orchestra music. The music and the video are beautiful.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
&
DON'T FORGET THE MISTLETOE

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Makes $100 Million

As of December 19th, it's 5th day of release, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey crossed the $100 million threshold in domestic ticket sales in America. The movie made $100.2 million dollars domestically while making $170 million for a grand worldwide total of $270.2 million in its first five days of release and the grand total amount is still climbing. I don't believe Tom Cruise's new film will dethrone The Hobbit this weekend either.

Behind the Scenes of Fault Magazine Photo Shoot of Richard Armitage

Found on tumblr a behind the scenes look at Richard's Fault magazine photo shoot. Now with the music and Richard in the video a tumblr and twitter friend had it right..."Seriously this video needs to come with a porn warning." Yes indeed it does, especially around the :50 mark. Holy crap! And that's the mildest language I can think of to describe that part, if not the entire video. Happy drooling!

Richard Armitage Reading Ted Hughes' 'Song'

The VOICE! OH YEA GODS! Ovary flipping, exploding or whatever you would like to call it time. *THUD*

Richard reading Ted Hughes' Song

And here is another one but from a different youtube blogger? poster? Anyway...

Song
by
Ted Hughes

O lady, when the tipped cup of the moon blessed you
You became soft fire with a clouds grace;
 The difficult stars swam for eyes in your face;
You stood, and your shadow was my place;
You turned, your shadow turned to ice
O my lady.

O lady, when the sea caressed you
You were a marble of foam, but dumb.
When will the stone open it's tomb?
When will the waves give over their foam?
You will not die, nor come home,
O my lady.

O lady, when the wind kissed you
You made him music for you were a shaped shell.
I follow the waters and the wind still
Since my heart heard it and all pieces fell
Which your lovers stole, meaning ill,
O my lady

O lady, consider when I shall have lost you
The moon's full hands, scattering waste,
The sea's hand, dark from the world's breast,
The world's decay where the wind's hands have passed,
And my head, worn out with love, at rest
In my hands, my hands full of dust,
O my lady.

To "O, my lady" I say - Oh my lord. *THUD* again.

Richard Armitage British GQ Interview

Richard Armitage on the Hobbit, beard grooming and dwarf workouts

" I just wanted to convince people that I'm not 5'2" and hairy." smiles Richard Armitage, sitting back in a comfortable chair at London's Clairidges hotel. "That'll be the biggest challenge." The 41-year-old actor's concern is understandable: as dwarf leader Thorin Oakenshield in Peter Jackson's long-awaited Hobbit trilogy, he's shrunken and wigged-up beyond recognition. So let GQ settle it:in real life, Armitage cuts an enviable handsome figure. (No kidding!) He's easily 6'1" (try 6'2"), lightly stubbled (OMGuyed!) and today clad in a sleek J. Lindeberg with plaid shirt and tie. After almost two decades on British TV in the likes of Spooks, Robin Hood and Chris Ryan's Strike Back, The Hobbit marks a step up for Armitage - into the newly world of global franchises and screaming fans. Arriving nine years after the release of The Return of the King, the film is a visually stunning return to Middle Earth, shot in ultra-clear 3D - but by the time Howard Shore's inimitable score sets in, and Andy Serkis is shouting "precious", it feels like we never left. Ahead of the film's release this weekend, we sat down with Armitage over a glass of wine to talk beard grooming, Hobbit obsessives and why Brits work best in the shire.

This Morning UK TV - Interviewwith The Hobbit Cast December 13,2012

This video has Martin freeman and Andy Serkis in addition to Richard Armitage. Richard comes in at 2:11 and talks about a sword and a wonderful double entendre about naming weapons. I just hope Richard hasn't named his weapon "Little Richard". I'm sorry but I've been wanting to say that all day and I feel safe doing so here.

Plus there is also going to be a transcript of Richard's part of the interview courtesy of Richard Armitage Central.

The transcript:

And a wonderful tumblr gif set of Richard's bit this morning. It won't post so here's the link : http://ladymofgisborne.tumblr.com/post/37871364568/gaporter-dessine-moi-un-mouton-x-thorin

Tuchus Tuesday ( on a Saturday) #2

Since this has been a busy week for me, mainly being sick, I didn't get to do a Tuchus Tuesday post. So because of that and in honor of The New York The Hobbit premiere here is a bit of a Richard Armitage tuchus from the event.

Richard Armitage World Tour: the North American Leg

So this is to be the Richard Armitage World Tour: The North American leg which to a certain extent left me feeling kind of flat. But then I guess New Zealand and Japan premieres spoiled me and I was expecting something along those line for the presentation of the premieres here in North America, especially New York which fell more than a bit flat. That might as well have been parents going to see their kids first night performance of 'The Hobbit'. Talk about having the proverbial stick up the butt, but that's just my opinion.

Anyway... HELLO FROM TORONTO!

A still from the Marilyn Denis Show in Toronto on December 3,2012

The interview from the Marilyn Denis Show:

According to Yahoo! News Canada, Richard caused a bit of a stir by showing up early at Toronto's Union Station on December 3,2012.

Then there is the head-cam interview from Toronto's KISS 92.5FM  with Dammit Maurie

Posing on the red carpet in Toronto and using a tie clip. Wonder if he owns a tie stick or tie pin? Just to change things up a bit and it doesn't have to be fancy, maybe just a nice little gold piece.

Finally from WBToronto on youtube: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Union Station Takeover

So I do believe that is it from the December 3,2012 Toronto, Canada leg of the Richard Armitage World Tour. Next up New York.

With New York's premiere being on December 6, 2012 the days leading up to had to be filled in with media stops Martin Freeman was on David Letterman, Sir Ian McKellen was on Live! with Kelly and Michael and Richard got stuck on the fourth hour of the Today Show on December 5 with Hoda and Kathie Lee. Or is it Kathie Lee and Honda? Anyway... Really?! Well, I guess it was better than Richard not being on American television at all.

Stills from the interview Richard looking like Richard in a black leather jacket and a hoodie. And yes they're the same but it's Richard so it can be double your fun. OMGuyed! What if there were two of him?! Could we even handle that?

Now we come to December 6,2012 and the New York premiere of The Hobbit: an Unexpected Journey. There was no trumpeting of the stars and the movie. It was more like drop them off at the back door and let them fight their way in. Not saying that is how it really was just the given impression. The only video of the premiere that I know of came from a friend of RAFrenzy's iPad and Frenz was nice enough to post it on her blog for the rest of us to see.

Of course there are some nice pics that seemed to take forever to start coming out of The Hobbit premiere. Richard is wearing a Michael Bastian suit to the premiere.

Most of The Hobbit cast and directors and writers

I think that should do for this leg of Richard's World Tour and if things on this post seem to be a bit scattered and shky please forgive me, i've been sick all week and pretty much missed everything.

Richard Armitage World Tour: the Pacific-Asian Leg

Big week for Richard Armitage and us fans starting first stop, New Zealand. Hard to believe that was only a week ago because this week seems to have gone by at a very fast pace. First we start with the landing of the Boeing 777 tricked out in The Hobbit theme landing in New Zealand:

Then of course there is going through the airport terminal in Aukland, New Zealnd

Nice and scruffy

Which the cast must have stayed for a little while before heading off to Wellington and the world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

And more photo ops for the press in Wellington:

Then of course there was the press conference before the premiere but first their had to be the traditional Maori greeting for Richard:

Somewhere in the middle of alll of this Richard, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis and other cast members  had time to do a little sight seeing.

With the break over it was time ti get down to the business at hand..The world premiere of The Hobbit: an Untold Journey.

Keep thinking that this suit is Lucas North-ish

RA signing autographs for some some lucky fans

Graciously handling the press as he tries to get down the red carpet

Then in front of The Hobbit door that he would eventuelly step through:

After this hoopla, Richard, Martin and Andy were in Australia to present at the ARIA Awards and gave Goyte the Best Pop Release.

So, after all of these events in New Zealand and Australia our man, Richard, & co. were on their way to Japan for the Tokyo premiere of The Hobbit on December 1, 2012.

Here is the Japanese Press Conference videos, parts 1-5, from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Sad thing is that the press just didn't seem to care to much about Richard because it was forever before someone was nice enough to ask him a question. Now Peter Jackson and Martin Freeman were asked about Richard first and said some wonderfully kind and true things about him. They absolutely gushed over him. Which I guess the Japanese press felt they needed more information about the man from those he worked with. Anyway, in order, the 5 videos of the Japanese Press Conference, courtesy of RACentral on Youtube :

Japanese Press Conference, part 1

Japanese Press Conference, part 2

Japanese Press Conference, part 3

Japanese Press Conference, part 4

Japanese Press Conference, part 5

And the transcript of the press conference can be found here courtesy of a twitter friend of mine.

Also some gifs of Richard at the conference:

At least he didn't pick his nose

Then on the night of December !,2012 was the Tokyo premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Richard in, what I have been told,in a waxed wool suit. From a distance it looks like leather, almost like an homage to Guy of Gisborne and his leather outfits. But then it seems Richard wears leather in most of his roles.

Peter Jackson, Richard Armitage,Martin Freeman,Elijah Wood and Andy Serkis at the Japanese premiere.

The introduction of the Japanese premier of The Hobbit on the red carpet is amazing. They are not there and then they are.

Richard signing autographs for Japanes fans:

I hope y'all enjoyed the post. This concludes the Pacific-Asian leg of the Richard Armitage World Tour the North American and English legs of the tour are up next. I'll get that post out as soon as I can.
