Richard Armitage Advent Calendar - Day 20 - December 20

Mr. John Thornton seems a little testy for today's Advent calendar entry. Seems some people are mistaking him for someone named Ebenezer Scrooge. How could anyone do anything so preposterous?

Needing Mr. Thornton

A little bit of John Thornton because I need bigger GIFS of him and everybody should enjoy him as well. Swoon Time. ☺

10,000 Postviews!

Thank you, everyone who has visited It's An R A World! I have two other blogs that I let the 10,000th post go by the wayside but I guess Richard Armitage is more important. My love, admiration and respect for him got into full swing of August of last year, actually, my blog started on August 21,2012 with a pitiful post but, for the most part,  I still feel the same way. Anyway my love, admiration and respect has done nothing but grow through these last months. Meeting wonderfully like-minded members of the Armitage Army, which I am proud to claim to be a member of, and now role players of different Richard Armitage characters, espically Thorin, on Twitter, Tumblr,Pinterest and all around the web.

So with that let's dance and drink champagne.

This kind of reminds me of Steve Martin's and Dan Aykroyd's  ''Two Wild and Crazy Guys"

Oh Lucas! Thank you,love.

Gee, thanks Percy. I think.

No Percy really you shouldn't!

Guy has come with a couple of goblets! Oh he brought Vaisey with him. Poor baby no escaping that creepy ass perverted bastard.

Oh Guy we now have some time alone to drink. Oh sweet love. x

Oh Mr. Thornton thank you for unexpectedly showing up

Beer works for me too. Not my brand but that's okay.

So nice of Guy to bring some food. I forgot about food.

Oh good! Thorin's eating. Hope he didn't get too lost.

So nice of Thorin and the other dwarves to sing for me.

Again thank you everyone for coming to my party.

Our Naughty Valentine Guy, such a tease.

Thorin with the key to our hearts

Almost forgot Porter. Shame on me I can't do that.

And now Valentine's Day would not be complete with a box of chocolates and we know how Richard is about chocolate.

Finding North and South

This post may not seem to have anything to do with Richard right now, but wait a little while  and you will see otherwise.

Now, last night I was having a lovely conversation with a couple of my Twitter friends about the Amazon Kindle and the Barnes & Nobel Nook, and naturally the conversation turned to e-books. Actually the conversation started because I finally figured out what #RA4R3 mean, which of course is,Richard Armitage for Richard III, and was told that they were talking about 'Sunne in Splendour: a Novel of Richard III' by Sharon Kay Pennman. Which I utterly forgot about or I would have had the book already.

Anyway, the conversation segued  between normal books and e-books and the different reading devices and those of us that have a Kindle agreed about liking getting free books on it. So the conversation went on about that topic for a while and then we said good night. Well, later on I went on my Kindle to see if I could find anymore free books I would want to read and that is when it happened. In front of me, for free, was Elizabeth Gaskell's 'North and South' and I swear I felt like Geraldine when she realized that Harry had proposed to her. Oh my gosh! All I wanted to do was jump up and down and scream, but I didn't because I didn't want people to wake up and think I was off my rocker. The book seems to be unabridged, it has 400 pages so I would hope that would be North and South in its entirety.

This is Richard's fault because if I did not learn of his existence I would not have wanted to have that kind of reaction. But then if it wasn't for Richard Armitage I would not have met some wonderful people around the web.

Watched North & South

Well I finally got to watch North & South courtesy of youtube. All four episodes in full just wish I had watched it in Large Play instead of normal. It would have made seeing it a lot easier and better. Anyway, after having finally watched North & South on youtube I now want the book and dvd. Must be even better on a television screen as opposed to a computer screen.

With Margret Hale all I could think about was Renee Zellweger playing her because the somewhat earnestness and accent  of Margret and Bridget Jones, except Bridget seemed to be slightly desperate. But then like Daniela Denby- Ashe, I don't think Renee would be strong enough co-star for Richard. For when he is on screen that is who your eyes and ears are drawn to, but North & South was still very, very good. Trying to pick one scene out as a favorite is impossible, well unless Richard's in them and then it is all of the above.  But the one screen that just really got to me was the one in the train station. Oh My Gosh. Mr. Thornton went south to Margret's old home looking for her and she went back to Milton looking for him and then they meet in a train station in the middle and she had brought Henry Lennox, Lordy talk about someone having a stick up his butt. But John and Margret go and sit on a bench in the middle of the station and she is talking business and he is smiling and then he takes her hand  and then she takes his one in both of hers and kisses it and then they kiss( I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about it ). Of course I was also thinking his mother would be absolutely scandalized if she knew about that kiss in public and would probably blame Margret.

But that kiss is what sealed the deal for me in wanting the dvd and book. And as I stated on twitter," If there should be another remake of 'Pride & Prejudice', Richard Armitage should be Mr. Darcy." But since then I have amended that thought to include Richard as Heathcliff from 'Wuthering Heights' and Edward Rochester of 'Jane Eyre'.
