50 Eligible Bachelors comes from Glamour Magazine UK on my Twitter feed today, about 42 minutes or so ago. I was looking through it and saw the usual little boys with the exceptions of Michael Fassbender and Bradley Cooper, when my eyes fell on a handsome vision from G_d at #22, our fearless Armitage Army leader. Looking so , so, sexy in the Michael Bastain suit at The Hobbit premiere in New York and having "a music 'A' Level, so perhaps a classical concert is on the cards." Shouldn't that be 'IN the cards'? Oh well.
The runway model looks like Groucho Marx wearing the suit.
By chance today I went to Wal-Mart and saw one of their small in-store billboards advertising The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey for pre-order. I then come home to check online and YES we can pre-order The Hobbit right now from the price range of $19.96 for the DVD + Ultraviolet in Widescreen to $29.96 for the 3-D Blueray+ Blueray+DVD+Ultraviolet in Widescreen. If we order now our preciousss will be shipped on March 19th and shipping is free to our homes.
Now there is still no pre-order at Amazon in the States. So I'm guessing that there is not going to be a pre-order event of The Hobbit at Amazon and that Warner Bros. and Wal-Mart are in a partnership for the release. But like I said I'm just guessing. I'm not that thrilled that Wal-Mart is the one doing the pre-order but at least SOMEONE is having The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey on pre-order.
Quick update! I don't know when Amazon did it because I checked an hour ago and it wasn't up but we NOW can pre-order The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey from Amazon, so please disregard theafore mentioned paragraph. Also add Barnes & Noble to your places to buy The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey. So I guess it's safe to say: Hobbit and Richard Armitage fans lets go shopping!
For those of us that have no way of viewing the Channel 4 documentary Richard II: The King in the Car Park I found it uploaded for "Research & Educational purposes"on youtube. I for one would like to be educated on the finding of Richard III and thought that others that have not stumbled across it may like to be educated on the subject matter as well. Also there is going to be a follow up documentary made by the same people that produced Richard III: King of the Car Park. It is said to be called Richard III: The Unseen Story and will tell the tale of the archeological work that led to the identification of Richard III.
The screenwriter, Phillipa Langley, who essentially launched the search for Richard III remain,s did an interview with BBC Radio Leicester. It was first put up on line by Richard Armitage Central with a snippet but I was able to hear the interview in it's entirety on King Richard Armitage site. When the interview first started I thought that the inter viewer was our Richard because he too also has a baritone voice. Very lovely to listen too.
the Tudor Tutor posted on her site with news that BBC Leicester will carry live the results of the DNA of the skeleton that was found in the carpark tomorrow at 10:00 GMT (Greenwich Means Time), which here in the States it will be 4:00 in the morning my time. If you have trouble converting your local time to GMT here is a conversion chart with each time zone and if you're in the military, Bless Your Heart, you should just know to use military time because it is the same as GMT. http://www.spectrum-research.com/gmt-time-zone/
This comes courtesy of RichardArmitageNet : "The January issue of Nylon Guys magazine includes a new interview, which took place in New York, and a new picture. The magazine can be bought online via Zinio."
I know it's been awhile since I last posted and a lot has been happening in thee way of The Hobbit merchandise and news. So much so, I don't know where to begin maybe with the shameful fact that I got sucked into The Hobbit merchandising vortex by buying a Thorin Oakenshield bookmark and key pen from Barnes & Noble and I swear this will be the only merchandising tie-in with the movie I will buy. Now the dvd of 'The Hobbit' is going to be a whole nother story, I will not deny myself that.
Now from here on out I maybe hop-scotching around a bit but I will definitely start with what is going to be happening Wednesday November 28 with the invasion of tourist from around the world coming to Wellington to get in on the very first 'The Hobbit' experience. Have fun, stay safe and don't pass out if you have a close encounter of the Richard Armitage kind.
Of course there is the tricked out Boeing 777-300 plane going to London to pick up some people that had something or another to do with the movie and I think some of them , one in particular, have their face painted on the outside of the plane. And as was stated by The Dallas Morning News website "Hey, Hobbit fans, isn't this precious?"
Oh and here is a time lapsed video of the plane being tricked out:
What else? Um...let's see... Well Richard did give an interview to Spanish Magazine AccionCine magazine
I almost forgot and this is VERY important, nowlive is going to livestream the Wellington premiere or at least interviews with cast members as they go down the red carpet in the States, at least, Tuesday November 27 at 10:30pm EST/7:30PST. So who knows maybe, just maybe and hoping and praying for a few words Richard.
Another interview Richard gave was to the Dominion Post in New Zealand, which I found on FEDORALADY's blog The Armitage Effect, who in turn got it from Heirs of Durin. Poor baby, when Peter Jackson offfered him the part of Thorin he had to pick himself up off the floor. Plus he was in New York when Superstorm Sandy hit and so he got stranded there for a bit.
Lord knows there is more but right now I can't think of the because I took a break and got distracted by a youtube video, that I am soooo going to post after this one.
I know that there are The Hobbit playing cards and cappuccino mixes. I think cappuccino mixes , which I can not find.
Now if I could just find the card with Thorin on it. I saw it on twitter and made the comment to some of my twitter friends about that must be the card we play stud poker with.
This isn't the one I was talking about but it will do in a pinch.
Oh and the gold coins with The Hobbit faces on them that is worth thousands but will become legal tender in New Zealand
So if any of you know of anything else that I missed let me know.
This came to me from RAFrenzy. Someone on twitter has given hints or updates, depending on how you look at it, that there is a photoshoot that is either taking place or has taken place with Richard Armitage and to be on the look out for the December issue of FAULT magazine . So far their Twitter page has no mention of Richard so that makes me a little shaky on the photoshoot news. I think I'll wait until there is some kind of official word, but if it's true that there is going to be new pictures of Richard, they would make nice Christmas and Hanukkah presents.
This is from The Telegraph website and the article has a video with it. I can just give you the link in the former sentence. Anyway...
'Strong Evidence'Richard III's Body Has Been Found - With a Curved Spine
Archaeologist searching under a city centre car park for the lost grave of King Richard III have discovered human remains.
A stone frieze which may have been from a choir stall discovered during excavation of a car park in Leicester. Experts hope bones unearthed during the dig will turn out to bewthose of Richard III. The Telegraph in Australia
According to Science Daily , the University of Leicester confirms that they have found the medieval Grey Friars church where King Richard III is buried under a parking lot that was being excavated just over a week ago. At that time two trenches were dug at a council park and this week a third trench was dug. The dig is being filmed for a Channel 4 documentary that is going to come out later this year. It would be nice if the documentary could be shown in America where everyone could see it, because not everyone has BBC America. Are you listening PBS? Sorry just a little personal rant.
Last night just as was getting ready to get off the computer, Yahoo showed an article with the release date of not only the third Hobbit movie but also the first two. So here is the article:
