Richard standing for the cameras looking handsomely dashing in his three-piece suit and tie clip. Admittedly I am freaking a bit over the tie clip because it seems like they are not worn as much as they used to be. Now if he had worn a tie tack or a tie pin? Or better yet a tie stick? Especially a tie stick... *Sighs* Bit old fashioned but I do love them.
Miss the curls at his neck but Richard does look better. Granted I do like his shaggy look but I like his cleaned up look just as much.

Thorin Thursday #5 - Barrellng Throught the Desolation of Smaug
In time for Thorin Thursday, HitFix released their interview with Richard about the, what if not already, infamous barrel scenes. In the interview Richard says that he has aged ten years because having the prosthetics put on and taken off everyday.
as for the barrels, Richard says "Being in those bloody barrels, it was like being in a funfair for three days". It was also frustrating getting water dumped on them all the time but yet at the same time, fun. "Like being a child on a rollercoaster that you just didn't get off all day".
Richard also says that they were really desperate for the loo but were not allowed out of the barrels. So they decided to try and figure out who went in their wetsuit and who did not. Richard said he didn't for the sake of the wardrobe.
Their bladders must have ready to burst if they held it in all day. Suffer for art.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Trailer #2
Earlier this morning Warner Bros. released The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug second movie trailer and this time we get to see more of Thorin and HEAR Benedict Cumberbatch's computer enhanced voice as Smaug the Worm (Dragon).
After having watched the movie trailer about a half dozen times or so, it has left me with a couple of thoughts at the moment.
1) Desolation of Smaug does not need to be shown in 3D because in normal 2D I want to jump out of my skin.
2) I can not believe I am going to make this admission, but for the first time since Gremilins, Smaug makes me want to go to the movie theater and watch it. Whether I will or not is another matter.
My feeling is that The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is going to be so much better than The Hobbit that it leaves me with this question : If The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is this good, On what scale of good is There and Back Again going to be?

Six New Images from the Deoslation of Smaug
I was reading The One Ring Net article about the Spanish magazine Imagenes publishing a new edition that has a five page feature dedicated to The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. In the article the website Elanillounico.com is given as the source of the information. Well since One Ring's article is rather seemingly sparse on information I went a did a search of the aforementioned website. I mainly use Bing for my searches and this was no exception and I don't know if Google gives the option of seeing some foreign websites translated into your native language, but Bing, using Microsft, naturally, does and that is how I was able to find out that the article in Imagenes is pretty much a based on the Empire magazine report that a complete overview was done by one of the writers.
It was while looking at the homepage that I came across the news of six new images from the Deolation of Smaug have been released in conjunction with the movies tie-in book The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Annual 2014. These are images of Bard the Bowman, Tauriel, Legolas, wide angle shots of the dwarves in the barrels and one that I think would make an excellent movie poster with Bilbo, Gandalf, Thranduil, Legolas, Tauriel, Kili and the best for last, Thorin. I'll start with that one.

Richard Armitage at the Premiere of The World's End in Wellington
The Wellington, New Zealand premiere of Martin Freeman's movie The World's End took place recently and some of Martin's The Hobbit costars turned out for the event. This included Richard Armitage and Benedict Cumberbatch. Somebody get the three of them to work together in a Sherlock episode...PLEASE!!! Had to get that off my chest. Anyway pictures were taken and released, some of which I have found on RichardArmitageNet and Facebook ( yes I have gone to the dark side) and some I was able to get to my Photobucket King Richard album... So enjoy☺
Nuzzle time with his nose and neck. And is that a little tongue I see? ♥
Richard's hair is longer too. Oh to run my fingers through it.
I think Servetus of Me+RichardArmitage, is the one who really likes the photo below of Richard with his thumb in the air. Trying to hitchhike your way to me, Richard?♥ Oh and what about the shoes? Boots are you paying attention?☺
And now for my favorite two that just reinforce a Benedict/Martin/Richard Sherlockian acting project. The first one is very blurry and has James Nesbitt with a glass of champagne and his back to the camera, Benedict Cumberbatch with his head down and of course Richard with what looks like a cell phone in one hand and maybe a ticket in the other. But even blurry Richard looks good.
And this last one is a Sherlock reunion on The Hobbit set.

LOTR and The Hobbit Lunch Boxes
Just playing around on the web and I had looked up Doctor Who and found a sight called Entertainment Earth and when I found David Tennant's 10th Doctor action figure. With this the very quiet and hidden nerd girl in me interest was awaken so naturally I thought of The Hobbit and pretty soon I found my secret inner nerd girl coming out all over the place like a kid in the candy store and started posting things she found onto her Hobbit tumblr blog. and just knew it would not be enough and had to come here, even if it does seem childish, to share the goodies that made an impression that were found. Mainly it is three lunch boxes or as the sight calls them tin tote, because I did not think they were being made any more.
Now the first one that Secret Nerd Girl came across was Gandalf the grey lunch box from Lord of the Rings.
My second lunch box has my first crush from the Lord of the Rings, Aragorn
And then I came across the somewhat ultimate lunch box with Kili in the foreground and our majestic Thorin Oakenshield in the background. And that is when Secret Nerd Girl became Naughty Secret Nerd Girl with her thoughts and drools and grins and ...well, yeah, you get the idea because you have probably had similar thought and feelings. Here it is for us to do whatever over it.

THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG, Production Diary 11
Released today by Mr. Hobbit man himself, Sir Peter Jackson. Love the Dwarvicise part of it, granted it would have been better with Richard in it. The make-up & hair designer, Peter King, looks a bit like Colonel Sanders, of Kentucky Fried Chicken, but with a full beard instead of a goatee. Oh and there is some more Dwarf Boot Camp but again, no Richard. Bright side there is Graham McTavish, Dean O'Gorman, Aidan Turner and Stephen Hunter. Luke Evans, looking like Orlando Bloom's Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean and Mandy Patkin's Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride, also makes an appearance.

New Pics From The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
With The Desolation of Smaug coming out on December 13more promotional pictures are coming out as to , what I am assuming, is a six promotional fest. Not that I am complaining, that much, yet, because we have been getting a few more new pictures released every so often. That is probably to pacify us because The Desolation of Smaug is probably going to be more about the elves. That's another short post. Anyway, the pictures are from Empire magazine and so far it seems to be mainly about the elves. There is one of Bilbo being front and center in conversation with Peter Jackson and then there is one of our majestically handsome and fearless leader, Thorin not front but kind of center being given direction by Peter Jackson and the rest of the pictures concern the elves.
Thranduil
I swear Thranduil (Lee Pace) looks like the Lucius Mafoy of Middle Earth. Here he is with Legolas (Orlando Bloom)
Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly)
Orlando's eyes look weird in this picture. It's almost looks like he's possessed. Plus I thought his eyes were brown not blue.
Now here is the one of Martin getting his direction form Peter Jackson. Bilbo and the dwarves seem to bewearing bed robes. Actually, Bilbo looks like he is wearing Thorin's coat minus the mantel.
The best for last Thorin and company being told how to ride a barrel by Mr. jackson.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Featurette - New Zealand (2013) - Lo...
Beautiful scenery in this video, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Featurette, it is beautiful to watch and listen to and can make one wish they could win the lottery and go there. Plus Richard is in the first few seconds of the video first as the majestic Thorin and then Richard as his majestic self.

The Official The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Poster
Well folks we are staring early with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug promotion this week. Yesterday, the 8th, a poster was released as the official one for the movie and yours truly bought into it even though it does look like Martin Freeman/Bilbo Baggins has a deer in the headlight look or as someone Tumblr put it, a dragon in the headlight look. The poster does have issues with it that I couldn't put my finger, but all my mind was going with is that yeah the quality is shockingly not that good coming from WB and Peter Jackson but okay. But this evening I read what was wrong with the poster at The One Ring and Calisuri there goes into the details. I would not have known the details, I just had a feeling in my gut that I ignored.
The poster in question:
Now for the beautifully majestic OFFICIAL The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug poster, and no Thorin is no where to be seen go ahead and cry I'm right there with you. But can you imagine what a Smaug poster with Thorin on it would look like? Squeeing and thudding just thinking about it. Huh? What? Oh...yes the official poster. Sidetracked there a bit.
The official The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug poster also from The One Ring.
Also, if you have not heard there is going to be a teaser trailer released Wednesday morning and supposedly there is going to be a full trailer attached to the Superman movie Man of Steel

Find Jack!
This is to help a Twitter/Facebook friend and fellow remember of the Armitage Army, Angie Long of Alabama find her lost puppy Jack. Jack was last seen last Saturday in Angie's front yard on Joe Killough Road near the town of Honoraville, Alabama. His mama, Seabee and his human parents, Angie being his human mama, miss him and are terribly worried about Jack.
If you know of Jack's whereabouts or have him let family in Alabama know. Angie's blog . Jack is a precious pup and is a little bit bigger now than in his picture.

Tuchus Tuesday #15 - Thorin
This came to my Time Line on Twitter and I got so excited when I saw that it is an actual STILL of Thorin's Tuchus I don't know how I stayed upright. Yes it is a bit hidden with clothing and gear ( maybe there will be a better picture of his tuchus in The Desolation of Smaug) So, Tuchus Tuesday is getting the royal treatment with Thorin's Tuchus.
Aragorn vs Thorin
A place on the web called Barmy Battles has decided to pit Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) , my first Tolkien crush against Thorin (Richard Armitage), my latest and probably last Tolkien crush. You vote my liking which ever one by clicking on the Facebook icon, which of course means you have to be logged into Facebook to vote. It was difficult choice for me but in the end I voted for Thorin. Aragorn is in the lead by 86 votes.

New Fan Photos from Wellington
I saw one very early this morning and I just saw the other one. They are both on Richard Armitage Bulgaria's Facebook page ( yes I've gone to the dark side, but I kind of use it as an extension of Twitter, but with games.) Anyway, just like when Richard was shooting Dark Sky in Michigan last year and a couple of lucky fans got pictures with him there, the same thing has happened in Wellington, New Zealand. I thought I posted the photos from last year but I can't find the post. But do enjoy these from Wellington.
And here is one with the ladies taken out for a close up look at Richard. This one is also courtesy of Richard Armitage Bulgaria.
The poor darling is so handsomely tired and yet he still has time for fans. As if we needed any more reasons to respect and love Richard Armitage.

Back to Work on 'The Hobbit' Monday
From TheOneRing.Net there is confirmation that filming of 'The Hobbit' is set to start on Monday May 20,2013 in Wellington, New Zealand. As we have heard from Richard it is going to take up to 10 weeks of shooting the extra footage for 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' (Benedict Cumberbatch ~ EEK!) and 'The Hobbit: There and Back Again'. Most of the principle cast is likely going to return for filming but there are no specific confirmations.

The First Footage From The Hobbit : The Desolation of Smaug
I was busy watching Lady Sybil's death on Downton Abbey and actually forgot about the Peter Jackson piece for The Hobbit : The Desolation of Smaug, except for the last 15 minutes and that made me wish that the movie was already out.
Of course the best was saved for last, with Thorin saying : "We are the dwarves of Erebor. We have come to reclaim our homeland." This came to me on my twitter feed from MorrighansMuse who had posted it on her Tumblr page and I reposted it on mine.
And then this came to me, the video of the first footage from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug .
Hope y'all enjoy it.
Just found out that Warner Bos. removed the video. Hopefully they will put it up on their Youtube page.
But hopefully this short piece from the movie that was shown today will do, until WB says otherwise again.

Here's Thorin, who was saved til last because he is the best. And a few seconds more of Thorin. I guess Smaug has indigestion.
