The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" Los Angeles Premiere Date
Armitage Agonistes has announced on her blog, courtesy of Middle-Earth News, that the premiere date for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Los Angeles premiere date has been set for December 2, 2013. Richard Armitage will be in attendance as will Aidan Turner, Dean O'Gorman (must keep the "uncle and nephews" together), Martin Freeman, Evangeline Lilly and Luke Evans. However there is no idea where the premiere is going to be held because the powers that be have yet to announce where the venue will be.
Richard Armitage's Move Magazine Interview
Thanks to kellyduck on Twitter for providing the link to Richard Armitage's interview with New York Moves magazine.
The interview takes place in October a few days after the American government shutdown and Richard is asked for his opinion about that and other subjects along the same line, such as violence in movies and other forms of entertainment. He did try to interject some of the work that he has done like 'Strike Back' and the fact that it would be on Cinemax and some words about the appearance of the weapons in The Hobbit.
Now that was the center of the conversation. The beginning was saying how nice New Yorkers really are and in a way like Parisians because neither people are afraid to debate one another, unlike in England.
Then there is talk of characters with grey morals whether it be Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood or Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit . Richard even says that he has never played a psychotic mass-murder but that he would try and find some kind of empathy and explanation as to why the character is the way it is, just like he has done with previous ones. Euron Greyjoy, perhaps? Hmmm?
Enough quasi-intelligence from me. Eye candy time. One new photo of Richard was added and this one I absolutely adore. Playing peek-a-boo through his fingers. To me he has the look of "Are you kidding me?" It is great.
(From New York Moves)
And this one also from NYM. The more I look at it the more I see Patrick Dempsey
Apparently bartenders are also in need for a cocktail mixing contest. To be more precise a "Make a Thorin cocktail" Richard says he will judge. Uh-huh. Wonder if he would swallow the drinks or swish them around for the flavor and then spit out the drink?

Newest Faces of Richard
Yes the new photographs of Richard have hit the Internet today and apparently early in the morning. Because I had a busy morning I did not get to see them until this afternoon and then dawdled on the computer and did some more things around the house until now.
This is now the time for me to do my procrastinated post. These were done by Leslie Hassler for what is said to be for New York Moves magazine. These photos I found on Facebook with a link to Richard's Russian branch of the Armitage Army and somehow or another they are very good with the photos, just takes some time to find them for those of us that do not know Russian.
So with thanks to those that got the photos out first, here is my contribution.
Have a little chest hair in this one. ☺

Thorin Thursday #8
The The Heirs of Durin did a wonderful job of making screencaps from the trailer, Thorin's being my favorite. These are my favorite. Love Thorin's hands and how he gently touches the fabric and his name.
Then on Wednesday there was the release of the Frnch movie poster for The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug. So handsome.
Then there is the GIF of the pictures that I love. A happy accident.

Richard Armitage's New Role
Sometimes just before I drift off to sleep I get some ideas that in the light of day do not make sense, but this one does. Try and follow because my brain is quite scattered but in the end it makes sense to me.
Okay I think I read in some interview that Richard had said that his next project is based on a book and to wait and see. First thought was Matthew Clairmont in Discovery of Witches. Then we started seeing recent photos of Richard with longer hair and scruff wearing dark shirts so that led some to think that he is being cast as Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones. Sure that is logical and sensible. Perfect sense.
Now it is my turn. With news that Spooks is being made into a movie with Peter Firth and Servetus' Me+Richard post about Richard's thinness, got me to thinking that Richard will be in the movie and not in flashbacks alone. Yes it has been stated that Lucas North is dead. Well of course Lucas North is dead John Bateman, Richard's character's REAL name, killed the real Lucas North and assumed his identity. So no Lucas North but there has been no mention of John Bateman of not appearing.
Okay. Harry and Lucas/John are on the rooftop and Harry is offering whatever kind of help Lucas/John needs and it is being rejected and then Lucas/John tells harry to turn around and of course instead of being shot as expected Harry hears a car alarm and there's Lucas/John. For all intent purposes Lucas/John is dead. What if he didn't die? What if Harry gets down to the car before any official authorities arrive and to make sure that Lucas/John is dead he checks for a pulse and finds a faint one? He then figures he can help Lucas/John by telling everyone that he had died and cons the doctors, nurses and EMTs into keeping quiet by telling them it is a matter of national security and they ar to tell no one. Even if authorities question them are they to say anything other than whatever line Harry feeds them. Meanwhile John eventually physically recovers from massive internal injuries ( it's the movies) and leaves Great Britain for parts unknown so he can try and either kill himself again or just goes off and becomes a hermit of sorts.
Harry, who is still in trouble, gets information through back channels as to John's whereabouts and goes to him to see if they can help each other. Now John, who is still a relative mess, wants no part of Harry and looks as bad as he did when he was released from the Russian prison and has become more than a bit of a booze hound ( a drunk).
That is as far as my line of thought has gotten on that part. But Richard is starting to look like a John after he was released from prison, but older. Naturally.
So that is my take on what Richard Armitage's new role could be. If I am right I will be so proud of myself.

Tuchus Tuesday #24 - The Hobbit New York Fan Event
I definitely have something for Richard's butt. Who else would spot a tuchus shot of Richard in all the hoopla yesterday that was The Hobbit New York Fan Event?
Now admittedly I did not see it live because 1) Had to cook and 2) Technical issues with my Kindle and Warner Bros. would not let the event run unless I was on a PC or some equivalent of it. I am still P.O. about the second reason. Now when I did get done with cooking it was of course over, but Richard Armitage Net was and is still showing it, so I was able to watch it. That is where I saw my first glimpse of his majestic tuchus.
Then, sorry I can not remember who, someone posted a link to a video of Hobbit fan event, just Richard Armitage video and that is where I was able to get a better time frame, a minute and nine seconds, of Richard's tuchus shot. So I put the call out for help with a screencap ( no idea how to make one) on Twitter and Facebook. Fernanda, Facebook friend, a dear, sweet and darling woman, came through for me with the above screencap and this one:
So needless to say I am oh so VEEERRRRYYY happy this morning to see these caps of Richard's tuchus in nice dark tight jeans.
Oh and here is a photo of Richard with Orlando Bloom and Anderson Cooper after they were done. Notice where Richard's hands are. Apparently, he too thinks he has a nice tuchus.Front isn't bad either.

7 New The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug Movie Posters
Ahead of tomorrows premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, seven new posters have been released. One of them is oh so handsome, Thorin of course and six others that range from somewhat handsome, the Bard, to "I really could careless", Thranduil. But they are all beautifully done, especially Thorin.
Have a raspberry,Thrandy!
